Built in 1859 as the British Post Office, and later serving as a school, residence, carpentry workshop, and atelier, the Postane building carries the traces of Galata’s socio-political transformations.

Based on their book  Postane: An Archaeology of a Building , this tour explores the building’s layered history through archival materials, oral histories, and spatial observations, revealing its evolving memory from the 19th century to today.
